Soft Christmas Cookies

Mix 1 cup of sour cream  and 1 tsp baking soda; set aside.  Beat 1 cup softened butter and 1-1/2 cups granulated sugar in large bowl with mixer until light and fluffy.  Add 2 eggs; mix well.  Blend in 1/2 tsp. nutmeg, 1 tsp. vanilla and sour cream mixture.  Gradually add 4 cups of flour, beating well after each addition.  Refrigerate 30 min. Heat oven to 350ºF.  Drop tablespoonfuls of dough, 2 inches apart, onto baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray. Bake 10 to 12 min. or just until centers are set and edges are lightly browned.  Let stand on baking sheets 3 min. Remove to wire racks; cool completely. Mix powdered sugar and milk until blended; spread onto cookies. Let stand until frosting is firm. ADD Chocolate frosting,  sprinkles,  coconut,  food coloring, mini chocolate chips

PERFECT GRAVY

4 CUPS MEAT DRIPPINGS SET ASIDE 1.  MELT 1 STICK OF BUTTER (1/2 CUP) IN PAN OR POT 2.  SLOWLY ADD 1/2 CUP FLOUR STIRRING 3.  SLOWLY ADD THE 4 CUPS OF MEAT DRIPPINGS.     (IF YOU DON'T HAVE ENOUGH ADD BROTH) 4.  ADD SEASONINGS  (I ADD GARLIC POWDER, SALT AND PEPPER) For Biscuits and Gravy: Cook sausage and remove from pan Add 1 stick of butter to drippings Add 1/2 cup flour Add 3 cups of milk Add garlic powder, pepper Add sausage back into pan
